Sunday nights on Big Brother Naija are more than just eviction drama—they’ve become a full show within the show. While fans hold their breath over who gets sent home, fashion lovers eagerly wait to see what Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will step out in. And as always, he never disappoints.
This season, Ebuka has been on a roll, pulling off looks inspired by cultural and entertainment icons. We’ve seen him channel King Sunny Ade, pay tribute to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, and even serve a style moment reminiscent of Nollywood legend Chidi Mokeme. But this week, he took a different turn, trading entertainment flair for royal elegance.
On stage, he appeared in a traditional Northern Nigerian royal outfit that commanded attention. A deep navy robe, detailed with sky-blue embroidery and fine geometric patterns, gave the look its cultural depth. A white turban, carefully wrapped with a bold feather accent, sealed the royal statement. Paired with wire-rimmed glasses and his signature well-kept beard, Ebuka looked every inch the modern-day monarch.
He later shared that the attire was a tribute to the late HRH Muhammadu Maccido, the 19th Sultan of Sokoto. Maccido, who ascended the throne in 1988, endured exile and later a triumphant return before his reign was cut short by a tragic plane crash in 2006.
It was a powerful nod to history and tradition, carried with Ebuka’s usual confidence and charm. And if his fashion streak continues at this pace, next Sunday’s reveal might just outdo them all.
