Following the settlement of their paternity lawsuit, Tristan Thompson will pay Maralee Nichols nearly $10,000 per month in child support for their 1-year-old son, Theo.

According to TMZ, the basketball player, who is still an unsigned free agent, also covered some of the fitness model’s legal fees. While Nichols has sole custody of their son, the couple will decide on a visitation schedule later.

Thompson’s name will also appear on Theo’s birth certificate.

Nichols sued Thompson, 31, last year, claiming he fathered Theo, but Thompson publicly denied it.

Thompson appeared to threaten Nichols over child support and even encouraged her to have an abortion, according to legal documents obtained. He also allegedly offered her $75,000 to keep the baby quiet.

Despite Thompson’s best efforts to put an end to the scandal, the results of his paternity test revealed that he was the father of Nichols’ child.

Thompson apologized publicly to his ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian, with whom he was expecting a second child via surrogate at the time of Nichols’ pregnancy.
“You don’t deserve this, Khloé. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I’ve caused you,” he wrote at the time on Instagram. “You don’t deserve what I’ve done to you over the years.”

Thompson stated that his actions “certainly do not line up” with his personal feelings about the “Kardashians” star.

“I have the highest regard and affection for you. Regardless of what you believe,” he added. “Once again, I sincerely apologize.”
Thompson and Kardashian, 38, welcomed their first child, a son, at the end of the summer. True, their 4-year-old daughter, was born just days after the previous cheating scandal broke.

Thompson and his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig have a 6-year-old son named Prince.
