Legendary Nollywood actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, affectionately known as Charles Olumo or “Agbako,” has passed away at the age of 101. The President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan (also known as Mr. Latin), confirmed the news in a heartfelt post on Instagram.

Mr. Latin announced that details of Agbako’s burial arrangements would be shared soon, saying, “TAMPAN announces the passing of Pa Charles Olumo Sanyaolu, fondly known as AGBAKO. Good night, father. 25/02/1923 to 31/10/2024.”

Born on February 25, 1923, Agbako became a prominent figure in Yoruba cinema, celebrated for his strong on-screen presence and memorable portrayals. Known for playing bold roles like villains, warriors, and chiefs, he captivated audiences with his skill and versatility, securing his legacy as a beloved figure in the film industry.
