Afia Pokua, known as Vim Lady, a prominent personality in Despite Media’s TV and radio, has expressed her disappointment with the handling of the case involving NPP thugs attacking UTV. She has criticized the Ghana Police Service for presenting what she deems a weak charge to the court, leading to the Achimota Magistrate Court judge convicting and fining the sixteen individuals GH¢2,400 each.

Vim Lady revealed that the charges against the 16 individuals were limited to “being on premises without purposes,” a classification she considers insufficient.

She voiced her concerns on the Egyaso Gyaso political show on Okay FM, asserting that the police’s handling of the case was inadequate. She questioned the quality of the charge presented, particularly when compared to how ordinary citizens are charged for similar actions.

In her critique, she also questioned the role of Ghana’s Attorney General, Godfred Dame, in allowing such a feeble charge to be presented. She expressed frustration at the charges presented to the court and the resulting lenient punishment, suggesting that this may encourage similar actions in the future.

Vim Lady concluded by expressing her disillusionment with the situation and how it might affect future events, stating that she will no longer invest her efforts in electoral activities, given the perceived lack of justice in Ghana.
