US Vice President Kamala Harris has arrived in Tanzania on the second leg of her first African tour.
She will meet President Samia Suluhu, with whom she is expected to discuss Tanzania’s non-alignment in the Ukraine war.
The US has been eager to persuade more countries to condemn Russia’s invasion.
According to correspondents, the US vice president’s tour comes at a time when global powers such as China and Russia are competing for influence in Africa.
