An American influencer, Gorgeous Doll, found herself in hot water after accidentally sharing a friendly photo with singer Davido online. This sparked backlash from some individuals. However, Gorgeous Doll took to TikTok on April 15, 2024, to clear the air, explaining that her relationship with Davido is purely platonic.
In her video, Gorgeous Doll clarified, “I want to make it clear that I didn’t know Davido was married. Whenever I spent time with him, it was for professional reasons. I often styled him for events, as I do with athletes and rappers. Additionally, I helped him with bookings in Atlanta by reaching out to club owners and facilitating his appearances.”
By addressing the situation head-on, Gorgeous Doll aimed to dispel any misconceptions and reassure her followers about the nature of her association with Davido.

Gorgeous Doll further clarified that she was unaware of Davido’s marital status during their friendship.
“At that time, I had only seen his baby mamas, not his wife, and I knew he had multiple children with different mothers. It wasn’t my place to inquire, and it never crossed my mind to ask, ‘Are you married?'”
Regarding a viral video showing Davido in a vulnerable state, Gorgeous Doll revealed that it was actually posted by her friend, Bonita, not herself.
She expressed, “I’m not upset that Bonita posted the video, but I’m disappointed because I explicitly asked her not to share anything. Now, it has opened up a whole new realm that I am not ready to deal with.”
Now, I’m facing criticism on social media, and it’s portraying me in a light I’m not comfortable with. I refuse to share something that could harm someone’s relationship. This friendship has been cultivated over the past four to five years; we have a strong bond, and there’s no need for secrecy. He doesn’t mind me taking pictures or posting them because there’s nothing to hide,” she concluded.
