Bobrisky, famously known as the “Mummy of Lagos,” might soon acquire a new nickname, as Prison Officers have reportedly stumbled upon a fresh persona, “Papa of Lagos,” during his time behind bars.
Following his recent sentencing to six months in jail for currency abuse, the well-known Nigerian cross-dresser has been housed in the Custodial Centre.
A senior official at the facility, speaking anonymously, disclosed that Bobrisky underwent routine examination upon arrival, and his biological features remain unchanged. This revelation contradicts previous hints from Bobrisky suggesting gender reassignment surgery, leading many to speculate about his anatomy. Instances like purchasing sanitary pads further fueled such speculations, though it now appears they were part of social media theatrics.
The examination results confirmed Bobrisky’s male biological characteristics, aligning with his public declarations and court records.

“During admission, each inmate undergoes thorough examination. Bobrisky underwent the same process, which confirmed his male biological characteristics without any alterations,” the source affirmed.
Post-examination, Bobrisky was allocated a bed space and integrated into the regular routines of the facility, similar to arrangements in a boarding house.
“He was allotted a bed space and shared the cell with other inmates. He follows the routine like attending classes, meals, and adhering to designated times for activities without any preferential treatment,” the source elaborated.
Regarding safety concerns, the official stressed the facility’s commitment to inmate welfare, highlighting a zero-tolerance policy against abuse or discrimination.
“There’s no special treatment or protection afforded to Bobrisky. The facility maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse or discrimination among inmates,” the official assured.
