Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and owner of X (formerly Twitter), recently expressed concerns over the future of the U.S. economy should Vice President Kamala Harris win the upcoming November presidential election. Musk voiced his opinions in a series of posts, where he also criticized the debate moderators for what he saw as unfair treatment of the Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump.

In his posts, Musk warned that under Harris’ leadership, ambitious ventures like space exploration, particularly the goal of reaching Mars, could be at risk. He explained, “Without substantial government reform, regulations will continue to worsen each year, making large-scale projects like high-speed rail and space travel nearly impossible.”

Musk further highlighted his support for Trump, citing the former president’s plans for a “government efficiency commission” aimed at cutting through red tape to make significant progress possible. In contrast, Musk argued that Harris, as a vice president under Joe Biden, has yet to deliver on such promises.

Though Musk admitted Harris performed better than expected in the debate, he remained firm in his belief that Trump would be the better leader when it comes to action. He questioned Harris’ track record, stating, “If Kamala is capable of great things, why hasn’t she achieved them already? With Biden frequently absent, she’s been the one in charge.”

Musk concluded his posts by framing the choice voters face: “Do you want four more years of the same or do you want change?”
