DJ Switch, booked an inn, took a walk to the motel, and shot himself. Why did he do that?

We were shocked to learn of the death of DJ Twitch, an American dancer and DJ whose real name is Stephen Boss. It made us wonder why people with seemingly perfect lives commit suicide.
He was dancing with his family by a Christmas tree two days before committing suicide. So, what motivated him to do it?

Depression is a mental illness, not just a state of mind. A person with cancer has cancerous cells inside their body that, if not treated, can lead to death; similarly, a person suffering from depression has suicidal thoughts that can lead to death.

Both psychosocial and biochemical factors appear to play a role in depression.

Negative life experiences can increase a person’s susceptibility to depression or initiate a depressive episode. Negative thoughts about oneself and the environment contribute to and maintain depressive symptoms.

The primary biological reason, however, is improper control of one or more naturally occurring neurotransmitters in the brain, particularly norepinephrine and serotonin. Some depression patients are thought to have lower levels or less activity of these substances in the brain, which could explain their melancholic mood.

  1. Trauma in the past

Even though things are better right now, they may have had trauma in their past that still affects them in the present moment.

2. They feel lonely and misunderstood

Even if they are surrounded by friends, some people may feel lonely. They may feel compelled to be strong for their friends and family, and everyone sees them as strong friends or pillars of strength even though they are broken on the inside.

3.  They have negative and intrusive thoughts

They may be having negative and intrusive thoughts that tell them things are hopeless, that things will never get better, or that they will never be good enough.

  1. Tell someone how you feel

Share your suicidal and depressive thoughts with those close to you; they can cut those harmful reasonings with words of encouragement and even help.

2. . Do what makes you happy

Trying to have fun is one way to get rid of depressive thoughts. Consider what would make you happy right now and do it.

3.  See a licensed personnel

Talking to a therapist and taking prescription medication can help you restore your brain’s chemical balance.
