Mercy Aigbe, a popular Nollywood actress, recently shared the reasons behind her decision to marry her husband, Kazim Adeoti, also known as Adekaz. During her appearance on “Nollywood on Radio,” she revealed that one key factor was their shared presence in the entertainment industry.
Mercy, who married Adekaz as his second wife in January 2022, explained, “One of the main reasons I married him is because we are both in the same industry. Together, we are building a production empire, and I felt it was important to have someone to collaborate with in this space. It’s a good thing that he understands the nature of our work. Combining our strengths makes the future look promising.”
Meanwhile, Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti, recently addressed why he didn’t attend the 50th birthday celebration of his first wife, Olufunsho, which took place in the US. Adeoti had faced social media backlash for his absence and for not acknowledging her special day online.
In response, Adeoti shared an explanation on Instagram. He clarified that his first wife had specifically requested that he not attend the birthday party and also asked him not to post her pictures on social media. The businessman reiterated that he respected her wishes and chose not to attend to avoid any potential embarrassment.
Despite his absence, Adeoti confirmed that he financially and morally supported his first wife and privately wished her a happy birthday. He also emphasized that she remains an important part of his life. He encouraged people to refrain from making negative comments about his family, reinforcing that he would never wish anything bad for her.
