Yemi Alade has made it clear that a collaboration with Tiwa Savage isn’t on her radar — even though fans have been wishing for it for years.

During a candid chat on the WithChude podcast, the “Johnny” singer explained that while she’s all for women supporting women and has worked with several female artists, teaming up with Tiwa might not be the best idea for her peace of mind.

“I know fans really want that collaboration,” she said with a laugh. “But honestly, I’d rather stay clear — I don’t want problems in my life.”

Yemi was quick to point out that there’s no personal feud between them. According to her, the real issue lies with fans and the media, who often create tension where none exists. “There’s literally no problem,” she added. “People just like to stir calm waters.”

Fans may recall that back in December 2018, the two singers seemed to clash after Yemi tweeted about female entertainers editing their photos to appear curvier. Although she didn’t mention names, her comment came shortly after Tiwa had shared new pictures on Instagram, sparking online drama. Tiwa’s response, “Don’t start a war you can’t finish,” only fueled the tension.

Since then, both women have continued to shine in their own lanes — Yemi with her powerhouse performances and Tiwa with her global hits. And while the long-awaited duet may never happen, both artists remain queens in their own right, commanding respect and love from fans across the world.
