On his most recent song, “Soul Child,” Yung Bleu teams up with Lil Wayne after previously working with Nicki Minaj.

Bleu takes some time to brag about his accomplishments, including a Drake feature on his 2020 single “You’re Mines Still,” over a sped-up sample of Musiq Soulchild’s “Love.”

Six-time nominated / Used to wait in line, but now they got us accommodated, I teach these ni**as what to do with a Drake feature, he sings. “Just consider the seven months I ruled during.”

Weezy closes the song by praising his native New Orleans (“Promethazine make my punch like Muhammad”) and expressing his love for lean (“New Orleans love me as Miami love Udonis”).

The follow-up to Moon Boy from 2021, “Soul Child” is scheduled to appear on Bleu’s new album TANTRA, which comes out on Friday. Collaborations with Nicki (“Love in the Way”), French Montana (“Life Worth Living”), and Ne-Yo (“Walk Through the Fire”) have already emerged from the 17-track album.
