Yvonne Nelson, in her memoir titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” has shared another revelation about her past relationship with Nigerian Afropop singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk. According to her, their relationship came to an end due to Iyanya’s infidelity with Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh.
Yvonne described their relationship as initially dreamy, filled with romantic gestures like breakfast in bed. She even believed that their love was forever when Iyanya tattooed her initials, YN, on his wrist. However, things took a turn for the worse when Yvonne started receiving calls after leaving Iyanya’s place, informing her about visits from another actress, Tonto Dikeh, who was mentioned in Iyanya’s song “Ur Waist.”
Yvonne expressed shock and heartbreak upon learning about the affair. She took to Twitter to express her frustrations, and Tonto Dikeh responded by suggesting that people change, including their feelings, and advised Yvonne to move on.
Further revelations in Yvonne’s memoir revealed additional incidents involving Iyanya and some of his female crew members, which convinced her that the situation with Tonto Dikeh was not an isolated incident. Yvonne realized that it was a pattern in Iyanya’s life and decided that she would have eventually ended the relationship even if Tonto Dikeh hadn’t come into the picture.
The romance between Iyanya and Yvonne Nelson, which began in July 2012 and garnered much attention, came to an end in 2015 after their relationship hit the rocks.
