Kyle Walker Joins Burnley in Surprising Career Twist
Veteran right-back Kyle Walker is heading to Burnley after completing a £5 million move from Manchester City. At 35, the England international has signed a two-year deal and is set to bring his trademark speed, leadership, and experience to Turf Moor.
The move was confirmed on Saturday, July 5, after Walker successfully passed his medical the day before. He’ll now reunite with Burnley’s head coach Scott Parker — a former teammate from their days at Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking on the transfer, Walker said, “I’m thrilled to be here. There’s real ambition at this club, and I’m excited to contribute to what Scott is building. When he shared his vision for the team, it felt like the perfect next step.”
Walker’s journey to Burnley follows a short spell at AC Milan, where he played after leaving City in January. Despite solid performances, Milan opted not to make the loan permanent.
Before his brief Italian adventure, Walker enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Manchester City. He made history with the club, racking up 17 major titles, including the famous treble in 2023.

Manchester United have also made a move of their own, securing Paraguayan talent Diego Leon from Cerro Porteño. The young defender made 33 senior appearances and scored 4 goals before sealing his switch to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, over in Italy, Inter Milan have wrapped up a deal for French striker Yoan Bonny. The former Parma forward caught attention during the 2024–2025 season, scoring 6 goals in 37 Serie A appearances. Inter reportedly paid €24 million plus add-ons for his signature.
