Leaders from various African countries are converging in Nairobi, Kenya, for the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA21) summit.

The summit, spanning two days, aims to tackle the development challenges faced by the continent and foster the creation of prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable economies.

IDA, a branch of the World Bank, focuses on assisting the world’s 75 poorest countries, with 39 of them situated in Africa.

The roster of attendees includes presidents such as Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar, Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone, Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania, and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia.

Also present are Évariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani of Mauritania, and Azali Assoumani of Comoros.
