Algeria Bans Barbie Film Over Cultural Concerns.

The American film “Barbie,” which has been screened in Algerian cinemas for several weeks, has been banned by authorities due to concerns over its compatibility with the country’s moral values.

Released last month, the film has gained significant attention, surpassing the billion-dollar mark after its premiere on July 21. However, Algerian officials argue that the movie promotes values contrary to the nation’s religious and cultural beliefs, particularly by allegedly endorsing homosexuality and other Western lifestyles.

This ban follows similar actions taken by other countries like Lebanon and Kuwait, where the film has also been prohibited from being shown, citing moral reasons.
