Nigerian superstar Asake has thrilled his fans by announcing his third album, set for release later this year. The Grammy-nominated artist shared the news on June 10, 2024, through his social media, along with dates for his upcoming “Lungu Boy World Tour.”

This new album will be Asake’s third in three years, following his Headies Album of the Year-winning debut, ‘Mr. Money With The Vibes’ in 2022, and his successful sophomore release, ‘Work of Art’ in 2023.

Asake kicked off 2024 with the release of ‘Only Me’ on his birthday, sparking conversations with its music video featuring religious iconography. Throughout the year, he has made notable guest appearances, collaborating with artists like Zlatan on ‘Bust Down’, Victony on ‘Stubborn’, Ayra Starr on ‘Good Bye’ from her album ‘The Year I Turned 21’, and Tems on ‘Get It Right’ from her debut album ‘Born In The Wild’.

Since his breakout hit ‘Omo Ope’ in 2022, Asake has swiftly risen to stardom, delivering a string of successful singles and albums. His entry into the Nigerian music scene coincided with the popularization of Amapiano log drums in Afrobeats, with Asake and his producer Magicsticks leading the charge in exploring this South African sound.

Fans eagerly await Asake’s upcoming album, which promises to be another exciting milestone in his remarkable musical journey.
