Today, artists Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar surprised fans with the release of a new single called “The Hillbillies.” The track, produced by EVILGIANE, samples Bon Iver’s 2020 song “PDLIF” and showcases the duo rapping about their luxurious lifestyles.

The accompanying music video for “The Hillbillies” was directed by Neal Farmer and features Keem and Lamar on a European adventure. The video also includes a cameo appearance by Tyler, The Creator.

Baby Keem gained recognition through a series of successful mixtapes and was selected as part of XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class. In 2021, he released his debut album, “The Melodic Blue,” which received positive reviews. The original version of the album included 16 tracks and featured collaborations with Lamar, Don Toliver, and Travis Scott. Later updates to the album included additional notable collaborations with PinkPantheress, Brent Faiyaz, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Kendrick Lamar, on the other hand, made his official comeback in the following year with his fifth studio album, “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.” The album, released under Top Dawg Entertainment, featured contributions from artists such as Blxst, Kodak Black, Sampha, Summer Walker, Ghostface Killah, and Taylour Paige. “Mr. Morale” became Lamar’s fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, accumulating nearly 300,000 album-equivalent streams during its debut week.
