There’s a new face at the helm of the Miss Nigeria pageant.
The Audrey Silva firm (TASC), a production company co-owned by renowned actress Rita Dominic and accomplished filmmaker Mildred Okwo, is set to assume control of Miss Nigeria, a role previously held by Folio Communications for the past 16 years.
Rita Dominic shared her thoughts with the Daily Times, emphasizing that the Miss Nigeria Pageant embodies the spirit of unity within Nigeria. She remarked, “The Miss Nigeria Pageant is a true representation of One Nigeria.” Rita Dominic expressed her admiration for her husband, Mr. Fidelis Anosike, the founder of Folio Communications and publisher of the Daily Times newspaper, for his commendable work with the brand over the past 16 years. She gratefully acknowledged that he is now entrusting her with the reins and collaborating with TASC.
Drawing from her extensive 25-year experience as a film producer in the entertainment industry, Rita Dominic believes she possesses the necessary skills and insights to lead the Miss Nigeria pageant. She noted, “I have been closely involved in this venture for a couple of years, learning and growing with each passing day. I’m enthusiastic about taking Miss Nigeria to new heights.”
Fidelis Anosike, Rita Dominic’s husband, extended his warm congratulations to the pioneers of Miss Nigeria and Chief Atinuke Oyelude, the very first Miss Nigeria, who will celebrate her 93rd birthday on November 16.
Mr. Anosike expressed his confidence in Rita Dominic’s ability to make Nigeria proud and raise the standards for the pageant. He envisions the Miss Nigeria platform as a catalyst for the empowerment of young Nigerian women and warmly welcomes the Audrey Silva firm into the Miss Nigeria 1957 family.
Rita Dominic, along with her business partner Mildred Okwo, is expected to bring new heights of prestige to this legendary pageant.
