They say that words have power and that sometimes all you need to do is speak what you want into existence. This was ideal for Amaka and Bigman, who are now on their eternal journey!

When they were younger, Bigman used to tease Amaka by referring to her as his wife. Years later, Bigman’s endearing nickname for Amaka became a reality when the sweethearts tied the knot in a lovely traditional ceremony. The couple looked stunning in traditional Igbo attire, exuding love and joy in every frame. We can’t help but share in their joy and excitement, and we’re confident they’ll put a big smile on your face as well.

Enjoy their wedding photos and love story below:

Their love story as shared by Amaka:

God divinely planned my meeting with my husband because everything went so smoothly for me. I’ve known Bigman since I was very young. He was my older sister’s primary school classmate, and you know, one of those friends who stuck around even as they grew older. In 2012, when I was in Jss3, he would always come around to my house to see his girlfriend (our family friend) who happened to be my neighbor.

Amaka made a super gorgeous bride!

He’d always make fun of my sister and claim I was his wife. He only saw me a few times because I was in boarding school. He’d say’my wife’ whenever my sister posted a photo of me anywhere. Anyway, long story short, it became real in 2016 (September 6th, 2016) when he saw me again at an ice cream shop with my siblings (I was all grown up now, big girl). That’s when he took my phone number and we began talking. On February 14, 2017, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I remember thinking, ‘I want to make my next plans with you in mind…and here we areeeee making all our plans together.’ 😁

Mummy’s little princess 😍

Their love story as shared by Bigman:

Looking back, I think it was the sweetest thing how I met Amaka; after all, it was fate. I saw her for the first time in 2012, I believe. I went to their house to see my ex-girlfriend, who was Amaka’s elder sister’s friend. Amaka’s sister was my primary school classmate; we were friends, and I’ve always known her family. When we were at university, I would always joke around and ask, “How’s my wife?” referring to Amaka.

Loving this steady slay Amaka is serving 😍

Fast forward to mid-2016; Amaka had just returned from an event in their hometown when I met up with them for ice cream. I’m not sure how it happened, but the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen was sitting right there with her siblings. When she smiled, her eyes sparkled, and her white, beautiful teeth and dimples added to the glitz. I sat next to her, and I believe we even took a picture together that day. I’ve never stopped thinking about that day and the smile she had on her face since! We gradually began talking after that day, but nothing serious. . It got interesting in January 2017, and on February 14th 2017, I asked her to be my girlfriend. The rest is history…
