Actor Bryan Cranston recently revealed his plan to take a hiatus from acting in order to spend quality time with his wife, Robin Dearden, to whom he has been married for over three decades. In an interview with British GQ, the 67-year-old star of “Breaking Bad” expressed his intention to take the break in 2026 and potentially relocate to France with his wife.

Cranston expressed his desire to fully immerse himself in the experience, enjoying day trips, cozy fires, and wine with new friends, without the pressure of reading scripts. He emphasized that it would not be a mere break to consider future projects, but a genuine pause and stop in his acting career.

The actor shared his appreciation for his wife’s unwavering support throughout his career and expressed his commitment to prioritizing her after years of her adjusting her life to accommodate his success. Cranston plans to close down his production company, sell his share of Dos Hombres, and embark on this new chapter with Dearden.

He envisions a life in a small village, where he can learn French, explore his culinary skills, and delve into gardening. Cranston eagerly anticipates reading books with his wife and engaging in new conversations over dinner.

Cranston’s recent appearance on “CBS Mornings” discussed the second season of his series “Your Honor” and his attraction to the show’s compelling premise. The concept of doing whatever it takes to save one’s child’s life resonated with him, even if it meant willingly crossing the line into criminal activities.

The actor’s decision reflects a desire to embrace uncertainty and seize new opportunities in life.
