Burna Boy is back—and he’s making a statement.

The Nigerian Afrobeats powerhouse just dropped his eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, in the early hours of Friday, July 11. Packed with 16 tracks, the album is a bold blend of sounds—Afrobeats at its core, but fused with rock, R&B, country, and even a splash of soul.

Released under Spaceship Records, Bad Habit, and Atlantic Records, the project arrives with major collaborations and some surprises. Familiar hits like “Bundle by Bundle,” “Update,” and “Sweet Love” are on the list, alongside star-studded tracks like “TaTaTa” featuring Travis Scott and “Change Your Mind” with country-influenced Shaboozey.

But the real jaw-droppers? Mick Jagger lends his legendary voice to “Empty Chairs,” and Stromae joins Burna on the hauntingly smooth “Pardon.”

Interestingly, aside from Shaboozey, the album skips on features from fellow Nigerian artists—a deliberate move, perhaps, in keeping with the introspective yet globally-minded direction Burna Boy seems to be taking.

In a recent chat with Billboard France, the Grammy-winning artist described the album as “extrospective.”

“It’s not all about me this time. It’s about understanding the world around me while staying grounded in who I am,” he shared. For Burna, No Sign of Weakness is more than music—it’s a personal philosophy. “I’ve faced enough storms to sink a ship, but I never let it break me.”

The album follows his 2023 Grammy-nominated I Told Them…, which scored two nominations for “City Boys” and “Sittin’ on Top of the World” featuring 21 Savage.

Fans can expect tracks like “No Panic,” “28 Grams,” “Buy You Life,” “Kabiyesi,” “Dem Dey,” and of course, the title anthem “No Sign of Weakness”—each telling its own story of survival, defiance, and evolution.

To celebrate the release, Burna is headlining Afro Nation Portugal, where he’ll perform the new material live for the first time. Then it’s off to North America in November, kicking things off at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre—making him the first Nigerian artist to ever headline the iconic venue.

The tour will roll through major cities like LA, Houston, Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta, and wrap up with two back-to-back shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena in December. Europe’s getting love too, with Burna set to take on Paris’ massive Stade de France.

From his L.I.F.E debut in 2013 to this moment, Burna Boy has grown into a global force. With each album, he’s pushed boundaries—and with No Sign of Weakness, he’s making it clear: he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
