In her powerful vocals, Chlöe sings, “You don’t make my money for me, no. So you ain’t doing nothing to me, no. Wishing all the bad, you gon’ wish you never had. All that really don’t do anything to me. The unbothered shot caller got my name in my mouth water. You like it, so thirsty. They tried to break me, oh father.” The Nigerian singer-songwriter Ayra Starr expressed her admiration for Chlöe by quoting the tweet and saying, “I love you, [Chlöe].”

Chlöe Covers Ayra Starr’s Song and Releases Highly-Anticipated Studio Album

Chlöe recently showcased her talent by covering a song from Ayra Starr’s debut album, 19 & Dangerous. The original version of the song gained immense popularity, accumulating over 9 million views for its accompanying visuals and 45 million views for the live performance video.

In March, Chlöe delighted her fans with the release of her highly-anticipated first studio album, aptly titled In Pieces. This 14-song effort, released through Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, featured collaborations with Chris Brown, Missy Elliott, and Future. Notable tracks from the album include “Body Do,” “Pray It Away,” and “Cheat Back.” The album’s success earned it a spot at No. 119 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Although Chlöe’s debut single, “Have Mercy,” achieved RIAA Platinum certification in August 2022 and became her most-watched video with nearly 100 million views online, it did not make it onto her In Pieces album. Nonetheless, other hits like “Treat Me” and “Surprise” contributed to establishing her successful solo career.

Having recently concluded her “In Pieces Tour,” which took her to major cities such as Chicago, Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles, Chlöe made a splash on Twitter with a post that went viral. Her photo, in which she wore a see-through bodysuit, captivated the internet. The caption cleverly referenced Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor” with the words, “Rip me out the plastic, I’ve been actin brand new.”

Chlöe’s remarkable cover and her well-received album have solidified her position as a rising star in the music industry, leaving fans eager for more of her exceptional talent and captivating performances.
