Kim Kardashian is speaking out about her co-parenting relationship with Kanye West.

In her first interview since her divorce was finalized last month, the Skims founder sobbed as she talked about the challenges of raising her four children with her ex-husband.

“It’s difficult. “It’s really fu**ing hard to co-parent,” Kim admitted during an emotional interview with Angie Martinez on her “IRL” podcast.

She reflected on her relationship with her deceased father, Robert Kardashian.

“I had the best father, the best memories, and the best experience, and that’s all I want for my kids as long as they can have that,” she said. “That’s what I’d like for them.”

Kim, on the other hand, has stated that she will not let her troubled relationship with Ye influence how her children perceive their father.

“I could be going through something, but if they want to listen to their dad’s music on the way to school, no matter what we’re going through, what’s going on in the world, I have to have that smile on my face and blast his music and sing along with my kids and act like nothing’s wrong,” she explained. “I’ll have a good cry as soon as I drop them off.”

She stated that she tries to shield their children from media coverage as much as possible by limiting their access to television and social media.

“If they don’t know what’s being said or what’s going on in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them?” she asked. “That’s heavy, heavy grown-up sh*t they’re not prepared to deal with.”

But, when the occasion arises, she will gladly answer any questions her children may have. “We’ll have those conversations when they’re ready,” she said. “And I’ll be completely prepared. But, until then, I’ll do whatever I can to keep their lives as normal as possible.”

Kim has also avoided publicly condemning Ye. “My kids will thank me one day for sitting here and not bashing their father when I could,” she said. “They’ll thank me, and I’ll answer any questions they have privately. But it’s no longer my place to get involved.”

During the interview, Kim also addressed the controversy surrounding Balenciaga’s holiday campaign, which featured children holding bondage-clad teddy bears.

“When it came to Balenciaga, everyone was like, ‘Why aren’t you speaking out? Why are you not speaking up?’ And I’m like, ‘Wait a minute. “I’m not in this campaign,” Kardashian explained to Martinez. “And then, after seeing what everyone was seeing on the internet and the reality of the situation, I completely spoke out and gave my thoughts.”

Nonetheless, she was scrutinized. “They’ll be upset if I don’t speak up. They’ll be upset if I speak up or if I don’t cancel.”
