Afrobeats sensation Davido has once again honored the memory of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, with a simple but powerful tribute.

In a heartfelt post shared on 𝕏 on Tuesday, the singer wrote:
“Ifeanyi David Adedeji Adeleke RIP LEGEND!!”

Ifeanyi passed away on October 31, 2022, just days after celebrating his third birthday on October 20. He tragically drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s home in Banana Island, Lagos.

Following the heartbreaking loss, the Lagos State Police confirmed an autopsy pointed to drowning as the cause of death. Eight domestic staff members were initially questioned, with six released and two held back for further investigation.

In the aftermath, Davido took a step back from the spotlight to grieve privately. When he eventually returned in 2023, he released his album Timeless. At the time, he explained that he chose not to include a tribute track to Ifeanyi on the project, opting instead to keep the overall mood uplifting.

On the first anniversary of Ifeanyi’s passing, Davido marked the day with a quiet post—a single dove emoji, letting the symbol speak for the emotions words couldn’t quite capture.

Since then, life has brought a glimmer of joy to the singer and his wife, Chioma. The couple welcomed twins in the United States in 2023—a new chapter, carrying both healing and hope.
