On the most recent episode of Carpool Karaoke, Diddy, and James Corden formed a Spiritual Connection. After running through the first song of their drive together, “Bad Boy for Life,” the Late Late Show host sought advice from the musician-turned-mogul as he prepares to leave the show. He wants a new monicker for the era, and no one changes his monicker as frequently as Diddy.

He’s been known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, Puffy, and, most recently, Love throughout his career. There’s also the issue of his birth name, Sean Combs, which he revealed to Corden is only reserved for his most elite inner-circle members: his mother and Jay-Z.

Diddy asked Corden to describe the vibe he’s going for in his post-late night era to help him narrow down potential nicknames. “I want it to be joyful and uplifting,” he said. “I want it to be enjoyable. “I want to have some fun.” Diddy’s third eye opened up at that moment: “Oh my god. Your moniker should be… the same as mine. You, too, should be Loved. I can be James or Love, and I’m willing to share my name with you because we’re on the same frequency. Both of us is Love.”

The host decided that The Love Love Show with Love Corden is a good show title to start with. The Love act was dropped almost immediately as the pair began rapping along to “Diddy.”

Diddy gave Corden some advice on sweet-talking his wife with baby-making music in the bedroom in between “I’ll Be Missing You,” his collaboration with Faith Evans, and “I Need a Girl (Part 2),” while also plugging his tequila brand.
Diddy ended his Carpool Karaoke ride with Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” bringing a bit of home to the streets of Los Angeles. “That song does something to me,” he explained, panting from head banging and losing himself in the music. Diddy gave Corden the ultimate golden ticket as a parting gift after sharing such intimate revelations with him: “Because you’re James Corden, you can call me Sean.”
