ABC has announced that former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will face off in a presidential debate on September 10.
This announcement comes after Trump initially hesitated, citing concerns over a conflict of interest due to his litigation against ABC. However, he has now confirmed his participation.
In a statement, ABC revealed that both Trump and Harris have committed to the debate, which will be broadcast on their network. Trump, speaking from his Mar-a-Lago resort, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming debates and confirmed additional dates with Fox News, NBC, and ABC.
“I believe debates are crucial, and we’ve agreed on dates with Fox for September 4, NBC for September 10, and ABC for September 25,” Trump stated. He also criticized Harris, questioning her readiness for the debates and interviews.
While Harris has previously indicated willingness to debate Trump on September 10, she has yet to confirm her participation in debates with other networks like Fox News.
