Barron Trump Meets Cristiano Ronaldo at the White House
United States President Donald Trump revealed that his son, Barron Trump, is a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo after the teenager met the football superstar at a White House event on Tuesday evening.
Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr, attended the dinner hosted by Trump for Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Washington. The footballer arrived with his fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, as part of the Crown Prince’s delegation.
Dressed in a sharp black tuxedo, Ronaldo joined a guest list featuring high-profile figures, including Elon Musk and US Vice President JD Vance.
During his remarks, Trump highlighted Ronaldo’s presence and shared his son’s excitement at meeting the Portuguese forward.
“This room is full of the world’s top leaders in business and sports,” Trump said. “My son is a big fan of Ronaldo… Barron got to meet him, and I think he respects his father a little more now, just because I introduced you. Thank you both for being here.”
Ronaldo’s visit to Washington followed a red card he received in Portugal’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ireland, which sidelined him for their subsequent 1-0 win over Armenia. Portugal’s victory secured their spot at the 2026 World Cup, which will be held across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
