They’ve been together for over 12 years, but finding a photo of the couple is difficult.
Eva Mendes has revealed why she and longtime partner Ryan Gosling don’t walk the red carpet together.
The mother of two, who shares daughters Esmeralda, eight, and Amada, six, with the “Barbie” actor, values her privacy so much that she refuses to allow cameras to focus on her and Gosling together.
Mendes was asked why she doesn’t post more snaps with the actor, 42, after she shared an Instagram clip from their first film together, “The Place Beyond The Pines,” during which they struck up a romance off-set in 2012.
“What a cool comment, thank you,” Mendes, 49, replied to a fan who asked her to walk the red carpet for Gosling’s new “Barbie” film. “But we don’t do those things as a group.”

“I’m only comfortable posting these photos because they’re already out there,” she added.
Mendes added in a follow-up comment on the same post that she only appeared on the red carpet once with her beau.
“Oh wait – for those who think I’m telling a ‘lie,’ we were only on the red carpet together once when promoting this film,” she clarified.
When asked why she didn’t feel comfortable posting photos of the couple together, she explained, “By ‘not comfortable,’ I mean exposing our very private life, which we value.” But I’m still dying to make another film with him…
Mendes appeared to confirm that she and Gosling secretly married last year when she referred to the actor as her “husband” in an interview last year.
The “Training Day” star was asked about her time in Australia while promoting the Ronald McDonald House charity on “Today Australia” in November 2022.
“I’m having a great time here,” the mother of two said. “Everyone is amazing, everyone is welcoming us, and everything has been so beautiful.” My husband Ryan is here… and our children are here, and we’re having a great time.”
She teased the subtle announcement the same month by posting a very special tattoo tribute to Gosling.
The “Hitch” star took to Instagram to show off a tattoo that read “de gosling” on her inner wrist.
After marrying, Hispanic women can add “de” — or “of” — to their last name to join the two monikers.
