Everton have struck a deal to bring Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City for the upcoming season, giving the England star a chance to revive his career after a frustrating spell at the Etihad.

Sources say both clubs have reached an agreement, with the 29-year-old set to undergo his medical soon. Grealish, on a reported £300,000-a-week wage at City, had found himself on the fringes under Pep Guardiola, missing key matches including the Premier League finale at Fulham and the Club World Cup trip to the United States.

Since joining City from Aston Villa in 2021 for a then-record £100 million fee, Grealish has lifted three Premier League titles, the Champions League, and an FA Cup. But last season proved his toughest yet, managing only seven league starts in a campaign where City failed to land a major trophy.

His absence in the FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace — where teenager Claudio Echeverri was preferred — only added to the uncertainty over his future. While Grealish had hoped for a permanent move to a Champions League side, interest from clubs like Newcastle and Tottenham never progressed, opening the door for Everton.

The Toffees are offering him a starring role at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, a chance to rediscover his spark, and a platform to fight his way back into the England squad. Grealish has previously spoken about how missing Euro 2024 left him “heartbroken” — and this move could be his shot at redemption.
