Super Falcons star Toni Payne has just signed with Everton, marking an exciting new chapter in her football career. Payne, who was born in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 29 years ago, began her journey in the sport with the Duke Blue Devils women’s soccer team during her college days.

In 2017, she took a major step forward by joining Ajax in the Netherlands, though her stay was brief before moving to Sevilla, Spain, in 2018. Over her career, Payne played 169 league matches and scored 30 goals, showcasing her skills as both a midfielder and a forward.

Earlier this year, Payne decided to part ways with Sevilla, and within weeks, she has now joined Everton. In an interview with Everton TV, Payne, who is also part of the Super Falcons squad for the 2024 Olympics, shared her enthusiasm about the move.

“I’m thrilled to join Everton,” Payne said. “Playing in the UK and in a league as competitive as the WSL has always been a dream of mine. Everton has such a rich footballing history, and I’m excited for this new challenge.”

Payne’s move to Everton represents a fresh opportunity and a new adventure in her career, and she’s eager to embrace it with enthusiasm and determination.
