The Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh, has encouraged Nigeria’s Under-20 women’s football team, the Falconets, to aim for victory in their upcoming FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup match against Japan in Colombia. Speaking through his spokesperson, Diana-Mary Nsan, Enoh praised the team for their impressive performance during the group stages.
The Falconets secured crucial wins against South Korea and Venezuela, finishing second in Group D, tied on points with Germany. Enoh emphasized the country’s full support and urged the players to face Japan with confidence and determination.

“I urge the girls to play with belief in their abilities. The entire nation is behind you, and I am confident you will make us proud. Give your all and leave no stone unturned.”
Enoh added, “You have already shown you can compete with the best. Now, go out there and fight for every ball, every opportunity, and victory. Japan is a strong team, but so are you. This is your moment to make history, and we stand with you.”
