The family of the late Nigerian gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, widely known as Aduke Gold, has addressed the speculation surrounding her death. Following a viral video that sparked rumors about her having died from complications related to fibroid surgery, the family has clarified the true cause.
Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, Aduke Gold’s brother, confirmed in a social media video that she passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan. He stated that the singer succumbed to cervical cancer and urged people to stop spreading unverified claims.
He emphasized, “There are false reports circulating. Our daughter suffered from cervical cancer, which led to her passing. We ask that anyone spreading incorrect information, especially regarding fibroid surgery, cease doing so. For accurate updates, please refer to reliable sources.”
