‘Turkish people need your support at this very difficult time,’ Wegner says
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger appealed for help on Friday for victims of the February earthquakes that shook southern Turkey and parts of Syria.
“Turkish people need your help at this difficult time,” Wegner said in a video released by the Turkish Football Federation on Friday. (TFF). “If you are able, we invite you to assist.”
The Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, TFF, Super League Clubs Association Foundation, and the beIN Media Group will lead the Shoulder to Shoulder aid campaign to collect donations for earthquake victims until June 15.

Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Elazig, Hatay, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, and Sanliurfa were among the 11 Turkish provinces hit by 7.7- and 7.6-magnitude earthquakes on February 6.
More than 50,000 people died in Turkey as a result of the earthquakes, which affected 13.5 million people in the country as well as many in northern Syria.
During his tenure at Arsenal, Wenger, 73, won seven English FA Cups and three English Premier League titles, one of which was undefeated.
