Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO Max will return to Amazon Prime Video Channels after being deleted more than a year ago.

Customers of Prime will now have the choice to subscribe to the streaming service, which has well-known episodes like “House of the Dragon” and “White Host,” at the going rate of $14.99 per month.

The multi-year partnership will automatically sign-up HBO Max members to the newly combined HBO Max/Discovery streaming service dubbed Max when it opens next spring, according to Bloomberg. The exact details of the transaction were not fully disclosed to the public.

 

 

Prior to the agreement, HBO Max was dropped from Amazon Prime in September 2021 because AT&T, HBO Max’s former parent firm, was unable to arrange an extension. The parent corporation of HBO at the time desired control over consumer relationships as well as access to additional viewership statistics.
As a result, the programming on the streaming service was unavailable to the approximately 5 million paying subscribers to HBO Max. According to Bloomberg, the new Warner Bros.

 

According to Amazon Prime Video VP Cem Sibay, “We try to offer customers the best and biggest variety of premium content available for their everyday viewing experience.” Customers may quickly add this subscription and experience even more critically acclaimed and popular content on Prime Video with the addition of HBO Max once more.
Following his appointment, David Zaslav, the new CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, reportedly made it a top priority to secure a deal with Amazon.

Following the announcement from the two businesses, shares of Warner Bros. Discovery increased by 3% on Tuesday.
