Iyabo Ojo Shares Life as a “Youngest Grandma” in Canada
Actress Iyabo Ojo is currently in Canada on omugwo duty for her daughter Priscilla Ojo-Mkambala, who recently welcomed a baby boy.
In a lighthearted Instagram video, the Nollywood star admitted she misses Nigeria and is counting down the days until she can return home. Caring for her grandson, Rakim, she explained, has completely taken over her daily routine.
“Peaceful child, but he eats too much—every one hour,” Iyabo joked. “By the time we’re done taking care of Rakim, you people are already in the evening. Then I rest, and when I wake up, it’s midnight.”
She playfully crowned herself the “youngest grandma”, teasing fellow actress Funke Akindele about not having worn “omugwo clothes” yet. She also joked about missing her signature black bonnet—the one she often wears during Instagram live sessions whenever she has fiery words for her followers.
Iyabo revealed that she will soon be heading to Tanzania with her grandson, where the family plans to throw a celebration in his honor. But she promised fans that once she returns to Nigeria, her outspoken, no-nonsense side will be back in full force.
“I miss my violent days,” she quipped. “When I return, we will resume.”
