Juma Jux Shares Journey of Helping Priscilla Ojo Embrace Islam Before Their Wedding

Tanzanian music star Juma Jux has spoken candidly about the emotional and spiritual journey of helping his wife, Priscilla Ojo—daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo—embrace Islam ahead of their wedding.

In a heartfelt chat with Afrikmedia, Jux revealed that introducing Priscilla to his faith wasn’t a decision made in haste. Instead, it was a process filled with patience, guidance, and gentle conversations. He credited the support of Islamic scholars and mentors who encouraged him to approach the matter with wisdom and love rather than pressure.

“I always had a clear picture of what I wanted for my wedding and the kind of bond I hoped to build. I was fortunate to find someone who shared those values,” he shared.

Describing the experience, Jux said it wasn’t easy at first, but he was taught to guide, not impose. “I was told to take things slow—explain, teach, share—until she truly understood. And even though it took time, she eventually did,” he said.

The couple’s story has resonated with many, not just for its celebrity sparkle, but for the honest reflection of faith, patience, and shared growth at the heart of their love story.
