Fenerbahce’s manager, Jose Mourinho, has raised concerns about Victor Osimhen’s tendency to dive during games. Osimhen, who recently joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli, will be a direct competitor for Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the Turkish League this season.

Mourinho, who has faced Osimhen while coaching Roma in Italy, acknowledges the Nigerian striker’s talent but has expressed discomfort with his tendency to dive. Despite this, Mourinho has praised Osimhen as one of the top African players of the moment.

“If I were managing a club that could afford a transfer fee of €70-75 million, I would definitely consider signing him,” Mourinho stated. “I have a great relationship with him, but I’m not a fan of how often he goes down.”

In an interview with HT Spor, Mourinho elaborated, “When we last played against him, I spoke to Osimhen directly. I told him, ‘You’re one of the best African players right now, alongside Salah. Previously, we had legends like Drogba, Eto’o, and Weah. Diving is not something you should be doing.’”

Mourinho emphasized that while he has issues with Osimhen’s diving, their relationship remains positive, and they resolve their differences quickly.
