Real Madrid faces a tough break with England’s Jude Bellingham sidelined due to a plantar fasciitis injury in his right leg. The injury, confirmed by Real Madrid’s medical team, involves damage to the thin muscle of the plantar region in his right leg.

As per the club’s announcement, Bellingham will be out for about a month, with hopes for his return set for after the international break in September 2024.

The brief club statement reads: “Jude Bellingham has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantar thin muscle of his right leg, following tests conducted by our medical team. We will monitor his recovery closely.”

Since joining Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, Bellingham has been pivotal, helping the team clinch both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League titles last season. He’s been a standout performer, with 23 goals and 14 assists in 44 matches across all competitions since his arrival.

Bellingham played 87 minutes in Real Madrid’s recent La Liga fixture against Real Mallorca, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Unfortunately, he had to be substituted late in the match due to his injury. His absence will surely be a blow to the team as they navigate the coming weeks
