Inter forward Romelu Lukaku was sent off over an offensive celebration following his equalizer

Juventus drew 1-1 with Inter Milan in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals on Tuesday.

In the fourth minute at Juventus Stadium, Argentine winger Angel Di Maria’s classy bottom-left shot was tipped over by Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.

In minute 33, keeper Mattia Perin deflected a close-range shot by Marcelo Brozovic.

Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan came close in the 64th minute, but his shot was slightly high.

Arkadiusz Milik, a Juventus attacker, missed a chance to score at the mouth of the goal in minute 78.

Colombian midfielder Juan Cuadrado scored in the 83rd minute to give the hosts the lead.

Inter’s Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku leveled the score with a late penalty goal in minute 95, but he was sent off for an offensive celebration.

The referee showed red cards to both Handanovic and Cuadrado at the end of the game.

The second leg will be played on April 26 at Giuseppe Meazza.
