Kanye West has joined forces with director Jon Rafman to release a new trailer ahead of Vultures. Alongside the trailer, West also shared the release dates for the upcoming three-volume project featuring Ty Dolla Sign.
The first volume is set to drop on Feb. 9, followed by the second and third volumes on March 8 and April 5, respectively. As of now, the tracklist for Vultures on Apple Music reveals 18 songs. Notably, tracks like the Backstreet Boys’ sampled “Everybody” and “Back to Me” featuring Freddie Gibbs are expected to be included in the LP.
Originally slated for release on Dec. 15, 2023, the debut of this project has been postponed four times, and it appears West has finally settled on the aforementioned dates.
Kanye West has confirmed that the Burzum-inspired cover art will be retained for all three volumes of Vultures. The font used in the artwork has ties to Varg Vikernes, a convicted murderer and neo-Nazi, while the cover image itself is based on the works of German painter Caspar David Friedrich.
The upcoming album is expected to feature guest appearances from renowned artists like Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Future, Bad Bunny, and Kid Cudi. The pre-release single, “Vultures,” featuring Lil Durk and Bump J, was dropped in November 2023, and “Unlock” was recently previewed on Chicago’s Power 92 radio.
According to TMZ’s report on Thursday, January 18, West has allegedly recorded a 40-minute apology addressing his previous anti-Semitic remarks. This release is anticipated to precede his collaborative album with Ty.
On December 26, 2023, West shared a similar message with the Jewish community via a now-deleted Instagram post. He expressed sincere apologies, emphasizing that it was not his intention to hurt or demean anyone. West pledged to learn from the experience, promote unity, and make amends, underlining the importance of forgiveness from the community.
