According to Foreign Affairs Minister Alfred Mutua, at least 3,000 Kenyans are still fighting in Sudan.
Mr. Mutua stated that the government was in contact with Kenya Airways in order to try to evacuate them “once things calm down.”
“We are in contact with our embassy in Sudan, and we will assist Kenyans who are trapped there due to the ongoing conflict,” Mr. Mutua said.

President William Ruto of Kenya has asked regional leaders to take a firm stance on the Sudan crisis in order to restore peace in the country.
Fighting between government forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continued on Monday, despite international calls for warring parties to stop fighting.
