The fact that national broadcasters Sudan TV (SRTC) and Sudan Radio have both been off the air since 12:27 GMT on Sunday complicates the flow of information this morning.
Previously, the state broadcaster had started playing patriotic songs.
On Saturday, a local news website reported that clashes had broken out at the national broadcaster’s headquarters and that its control room had been “bombed.”
Both the army and the rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF) claimed control of the television station.
According to Reuters, after troops entered SRTC HQ, the authorities cut transmissions to prevent RSF forces from broadcasting.
