French football star Kylian Mbappe has confirmed his departure from Paris Saint Germain (PSG) at the end of the 2023-2024 season. Mbappe, who joined PSG on loan from Monaco in 2017 before making the move permanent in 2018 for a record fee, has been a dominant force in goal-scoring since then.

Despite his remarkable achievements, including winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Mbappe has been unable to secure the UEFA Champions League title for PSG. The striker has expressed a desire to join a club with a stronger chance of winning the prestigious trophy, leading to persistent rumors linking him with a move to Real Madrid over the past few transfer windows.

Reports suggest that PSG had previously rejected Real Madrid’s attempts to sign Mbappe. However, last summer, Mbappe announced his decision not to extend his contract with PSG beyond June 30, 2024. Despite efforts from PSG to negotiate an extension, the 25-year-old striker remained steadfast in his decision to leave the club.

In an official statement, Mbappe confirmed his departure, stating, “It’s my last year at Paris St-Germain. I will not extend, and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks.”
