Kylian Mbappé, the popular French football player, seems to be experiencing a shift in public perception in his home country. Recent polls conducted by Odoxa, as reported by RMC Sport, indicate that his likability has slightly declined among French people. In 2019, 80% of respondents found Mbappé likable, but this number has dropped to 70% in the latest poll.

One of the most noticeable changes within the span of four years is the perception of Mbappé’s humility. Only 45% of respondents now view him as humble, whereas the previous poll showed a higher percentage of 66%. Similarly, the perception of him as “charismatic” has also declined to 57% from the previous 66%.
However, it’s important to note that a majority of Mbappé’s compatriots still maintain a positive view of him, with 63% expressing favorable opinions. Nevertheless, when compared to other prominent sports figures such as Olympic judo champion Teddy Riner (89%) and former NBA star Tony Parker (87%), Mbappé falls behind in terms of popularity among the French public.
