In the wake of a viral video depicting the assault of a crossdresser, influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa has spoken out against violence and harassment targeting members of the LBGTQ community in Nigeria.
In a post on his X account on May 1, 2024, Enioluwa condemned the incident, describing the treatment as “inhumane” and stressing the importance of allowing individuals to live their lives peacefully, irrespective of their sexual orientation.
“It is inhumane, unjust, and unkind to resort to violence against others simply because we disagree with their choices or orientation,” he wrote. “Everyone deserves to live without the fear of violence or harassment, particularly physical violence.”

The video that sparked Enioluwa’s response depicted a crossdresser being assaulted by bystanders, including being forced to remove clothing and subjected to physical violence.
In response to Enioluwa’s post, one user questioned the absence of human tolerance and understanding, highlighting the conflict between personal values and the treatment of others.
However, another user criticized Enioluwa’s stance, suggesting that defending such actions was illegal and calling for government intervention instead.
