Marcus Rashford injured during Everton match; ineligible for ‘few games,’ English club confirms.
Marcus Rashford, the English forward for Manchester United, has been diagnosed with a muscle injury and will miss games, including Thursday’s UEFA Europa League quarterfinal match against Sevilla.
“In the 80th minute of Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League win over Everton at Old Trafford, the forward was withdrawn and immediately headed to the dressing room for treatment,” Manchester United said in a statement Wednesday.
The 25-year-old “will be unavailable for a few games,” according to the statement.

This season, the forward, who has been with Manchester United since 2016, scored 28 goals in all competitions.
He played 51 times for England, scoring 15 goals.
The Europa League quarterfinal against Sevilla will take place at Manchester’s Old Trafford and will begin at 1900GMT.
The second leg will take place in Seville on April 20.
Sevilla holds the Europa League record with six titles. Manchester United won the tournament’s only title in 2017.
