On Saturday night, January 20, Houston native Megan Thee Stallion surprised everyone with a musical appearance during Reneé Rapp’s Saturday Night Live performance of their latest track, “Not My Fault.” This song serves as the primary single from the newly reimagined film, Mean Girls. This unexpected moment followed Megan’s thrilling New Year’s Eve performance, where she hinted at her upcoming collaboration with Nike.

Megan Thee Stallion made her entrance shortly after fans were treated to the presence of Rachel McAdams, the lead actress who played Regina George in the original Mean Girls alongside Lindsay Lohan. Despite McAdams not being part of the new Paramount remake, fans were excited to see her announce Rapp before her performance.

Recently, Megan Thee Stallion attended the New York City premiere of the film, embodying the persona of the “Black Regina George.” In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she humorously remarked, “I’m the Black Regina George, so they had to come get me.” When asked about her experience collaborating with Rapp on the film’s lead single, she expressed, “I love Reneé; as soon as I met her, I was like, wow, okay, you’re my friend. I love her, and I love Mean Girls.”

Once the performance with Beyoncé’s collaborator concluded, a photo emerged featuring McAdams, Rapp, and Megan Thee Stallion playfully pointing at each other, reminiscent of the famous Spiderman meme. Megan Thee Stallion captioned the image with a humorous touch, saying, “‘Cause huh, all the Reginas in one room.”

Beneath her post, a fan expressed, “Absolutely! You girls keep me young. Ah, I adore you so much.” Another supporter joined in, saying, “It’s unbelievable [laugh out loud]; every word you shared on Twitter has come true for you! So thrilled for you, Meg.” Another comment read, “If you claim this isn’t cool, you must be envious. Rachel wouldn’t show up for just anything. Ask Tina (and I’m not referring to Tina Snow),” hinting at Tina Fey’s reported struggles to convince McAdams to participate in the film’s revival.
