Megan Thee Stallion testified in Tory Lanez’s felony assault trial on Day 2.

Megan and Tory were present at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, where the Houston rapper testified against Lanez.

Lanez has been charged with assault with a firearm, illegal firearm possession, and negligent discharge of a firearm. All of the charges stem from an alleged shooting in the Hollywood Hills area in July 2020.

“I’m just not feeling well. “I can’t believe I have to come up here and do this,” Megan said to the judge.

According to Megan, a former friend of hers, Kelsey Nicole, and Tory began fighting in the car, at which point Megan exited the vehicle to avoid the situation. Lanez allegedly then pointed a gun at Megan and told her to “dance bitch,” before firing five shots at the Houston rapper. Megan had injuries to both of her feet.

During her testimony, Megan stated that Tory allegedly told her, “Don’t say anything, and I’ll give you a million dollars,” while she was in shock following the shooting. Megan previously claimed in an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings that Lanez offered her $1 million for her silence. “I’m stunned. I’m terrified. “I hear the gun go off, and I can’t believe he’s shooting at me,” Megan said in court on Tuesday.

When asked why she didn’t report the shooting to the police right away, Megan explained, “At the time, we were at the height of police brutality… I was afraid that if I said this man had just shot me, they’d shoot first and ask questions later. In the car, I don’t feel safe. “I don’t feel safe with the cops either.”

“It’s not really acceptable in the Black community to cooperate with police officers,” she added.

Subsequent texts from Tory to Megan were read aloud in court on Tuesday, with Lanez apologizing to Megan and explaining that he “genuinely just got too drunk” but “can’t change what I did.”

Megan later criticized the hip-hop industry for being run by men in her testimony. “The industry as a whole is like a big boys club,” she testified. “Like I said to one of your friends, you’re all about to hate me.”

Lanez faces more than 22 years in prison if convicted.
