Natasha Osawuru Addresses Claims About 2Baba’s Beads
Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawuru, has responded to allegations that she gifted music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, beads with supernatural powers.
Amid ongoing rumors about 2Baba’s marital issues, his mother reportedly urged Natasha to distance herself from him, claiming the beads he wore were spiritually influenced.
She allegedly stated, “My son is going through a difficult time. This is not like him. Natasha, please take off the beads you gave him and let him be.”
Clearing the air in an interview with journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus, Natasha dismissed the claims, explaining that the beads have no mystical properties.
“Those beads were a birthday gift to me. They symbolize royalty. Being from the Igbinedion Royal Family, my mother gave me three beautiful beads called ‘Ezeneka,’ meaning a river that never runs dry. The pearl around his neck was a gift from my grandfather, originally from the Queen of England when she was alive. He was knighted by her,” Natasha revealed.
She further explained that 2Baba was drawn to the beads and chose to wear them himself.
“I didn’t place them on him. He saw them, liked them, and decided to wear them. If you’ve noticed, he has always loved wearing beads—it’s nothing new,” she clarified.
